Pop the dry cake mix in the microwave for 30 seconds. Do this twice, stirring in between. Let it cool completely.

Whip the cream cheese until smooth for about 2 to 2.5 minutes. Stir in the cake mix completely. Keep it covered and chill for 2 hours.

Lay parchment on a baking sheet. Scoop out 1 tablespoon portions. Roll them into balls, set on the sheet. It’s fine to chill overnight if needed.

Melt candy wafers in short 30-second bursts till smooth. Dip each ball, shake off the extra coating, and place back on the sheet.

If using almond bark, melt it and drizzle over the balls. Refrigerate till ready to serve.
