Put butter or oil in a big pot and warm it on medium heat. Toss in the diced chicken, season it with a bit of salt and pepper, and cook until it turns golden brown.

Drop in the sliced sausage next and let it cook for 2–3 minutes until the edges are golden.

Pour in the pasta, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Stir well so everything blends together.

Pop the lid on and let it cook over medium-low heat for 12–15 minutes. Wait until the pasta is soft and most of the liquid is gone.

Toss in the shredded cheddar and stir. Keep mixing until it’s all creamy and combined.
