Caramel apple treat with cream (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the caramelized apples

01 - 3 Gold or Reine des Reinettes apples, peeled and chopped into small cubes
02 - 2 tablespoons of brown sugar
03 - 30g of butter
04 - A pinch of cinnamon (optional)

→ For the light cream

05 - 200ml of chilled heavy cream
06 - 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
07 - 100g of mascarpone cheese
08 - A splash of vanilla extract (optional)

→ For the topping

09 - Some crushed speculoos cookies
10 - Salted caramel sauce (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Toss in the apple cubes, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir them around for 5 to 7 minutes, letting them turn golden and caramelized. Set them aside to cool a bit.
02 - Whisk the cold cream, mascarpone, and powdered sugar until it becomes smooth and fluffy. Add vanilla extract if you’d like.
03 - In each glass, layer the caramelized apples, mascarpone cream, and crushed speculoos cookies. Finish it off with a drizzle of salted caramel if you’re feeling fancy.
04 - Let the glasses chill in the fridge for about an hour before serving to boost the flavors.

# Notes:

01 - If you’re avoiding dairy, you can swap the cream and mascarpone with plant-based versions.
02 - The apples can be made ahead and kept in the fridge until needed.
03 - Use a piping bag for a more polished look when layering the cream.
