Candied Yams Cooker (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 pounds of red yams.
02 - 1½ cups of plain water.
03 - 2 tbsp of cornstarch.
04 - A pinch of salt (⅛ tsp).
05 - 1 tsp of cinnamon, ground.
06 - ¼ tsp cloves, ground.
07 - Half a cup of melted butter, salted.
08 - One tablespoon of molasses.
09 - ½ tsp of vanilla flavoring.
10 - 1½ cups packed brown sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Slice the peeled yams into thick rounds (around 1-inch each) and place them in your slow cooker.
02 - Stir cornstarch and water in a mixing bowl, then add it into the slow cooker alongside the butter, vanilla, molasses, and seasonings.
03 - Put the lid on and set it to HIGH for 4 hours. Don’t take the lid off during cooking!
04 - Once it's cooked, pour in the brown sugar and carefully mix everything together.

# Notes:

01 - If on 'warm,' will stay good for 2-3 hours.
02 - Try tossing marshmallows in at the end!
03 - Lasts about 5 days in the fridge.
