Buttery Shortbread Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/2 cup caster sugar or powdered sugar.
02 - 1 cup of softened salted butter.
03 - 2 cups of all-purpose flour (at least 11% protein).

# Instructions:

01 - Combine sugar and butter, beating them for a minute or two until fluffy. Slowly blend in the flour on a low speed until the dough forms.
02 - Shape the dough into a ball, cover it with plastic wrap, then chill it for at least an hour.
03 - Roll the dough to about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thickness and cut out shapes using cookie cutters. Chill the shapes while heating the oven.
04 - Heat the oven to 325°F and bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn slightly golden. Let them cool fully before eating.

01 - Choose good-quality butter for better taste.
02 - Keeps at room temperature for up to a week or in the fridge for 10 days.
03 - Store in the freezer for up to 30 days.
04 - If the dough feels dry, toss in a bit more butter.
