Peel the skin and chop into large chunks. Rinse well under tap water.

Fill a big pot with water. When it boils, toss in the chunks. Cook for 20 minutes, then strain.

Put the drained potatoes in a bowl. Mash until smooth, making sure there are no lumps.

Combine the butter, cream, and salt with the potatoes. Stir well. For extra flavor, drizzle some melted butter on top if you’d like.
