Burger Lasagna (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon of Italian herbs, dried.
03 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder.
04 - A pinch of red pepper flakes.
05 - A bit of salt and some black pepper.
06 - 1/3 pound ground beef, divided.
07 - 1 ciabatta bun.
08 - Two cloves of garlic, finely chopped.
09 - 14 ounces of canned crushed tomatoes.
10 - 1/4 pound spicy Italian sausage.
11 - Three slices mozzarella cheese.
12 - One boiled lasagna noodle.
13 - One tablespoon of ricotta cheese.
14 - One tablespoon of butter.
15 - A sprinkle of oregano.

# Instructions:

01 - Broil the bun with butter spread on both sides. Sprinkle Italian herbs and garlic powder, and toast till golden brown.
02 - Sauté the minced garlic in heated olive oil. Add the crushed tomatoes and spices, let it simmer for ten minutes, then toss in the chopped-up lasagna noodles.
03 - Shape the sausage and beef into balls. Get your pan super hot, flatten the balls into patties, and cook one minute per side. Melt cheese on the beef patties while cooking.
04 - Here’s how to layer it: Bottom bun, beef patty, lasagna noodle with ricotta, then sausage patty. Repeat: Noodle with ricotta, beef patty, one more noodle with ricotta, and finish with the top bun.
05 - Let it sit for a few minutes before digging in so it holds together better.

# Notes:

01 - This makes enough sauce for about five burgers.
02 - It's best to let the burger rest first so it stays together.
03 - Store-bought sauce works fine here.
04 - Ciabatta bread holds everything the best.
05 - It's a fun mashup of flavors.
06 - Super filling for a single serving.
