Ground Beef Stroganoff (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 small onion, chopped up.
02 - 1 clove garlic, finely chopped.
03 - 1 pound of extra-lean ground beef.
04 - 2 cups of beef stock.
05 - 12 ounces sliced mushrooms.
06 - 3 tablespoons plain flour.
07 - 2 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce.
08 - A dash of black pepper and salt.
09 - 3/4 cup of sour cream.
10 - 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, minced.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the beef, garlic, and onion till no pink shows, being careful to keep big chunks. Get rid of the grease.
02 - Sauté mushrooms for 2-3 minutes. Mix the flour in, let it cook for an additional minute.
03 - Pour in the beef stock, Worcestershire sauce, plus salt and pepper. Bring it to a boil, then reduce heat and cook gently for 10 minutes.
04 - Take off heat. Gently mix in sour cream and parsley. Pair it with those egg noodles.

# Notes:

01 - Avoid low-sodium broth.
02 - Take off heat before adding sour cream so it doesn’t curdle.
03 - Greek yogurt can work in place of sour cream.
04 - Canned mushrooms will work, but fresh is better.
