Baked Fritter Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/2 cups of plain white flour.
02 - 2 tsp of baking powder.
03 - 1/2 tsp of salt, preferably kosher.
04 - 2 tsp of ground cinnamon.
05 - 1/4 cup of butter, not salted.
06 - 1/4 cup of regular sugar.
07 - 1 egg, large size.
08 - 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence.
09 - 1/2 cup of plain applesauce.
10 - 1 1/2 cups of peeled, diced Honeycrisp apples.
11 - Cooking oil spray.
12 - 2 cups of icing sugar.
13 - 1/3 cup and 2 tbsp of apple juice or cider.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F to warm up.
02 - Coat your baking tray with the cooking spray.
03 - Mix the flour, salt, baking powder, and cinnamon in a bowl.
04 - Melt the butter, and then mix it with sugar, a beaten egg, vanilla, and the applesauce.
05 - Mix the dry and wet ingredients together gently, then stir in the chopped apples.
06 - Scoop out 1 tablespoon of the mixture for each fritter, place on the baking tray, and bake for about 10 minutes.
07 - Blend the powdered sugar with the apple cider until it becomes thin and smooth.
08 - Switch on your broiler, coat the fritters with some glaze, and broil for 2-4 mins. Rotate the pan every minute so they don't burn, then pour extra glaze on top and cool for 15 mins.

01 - Stays fresh for 2 days on a counter or a week in the fridge.
02 - Keep an eye on the broiler to avoid burning.
