Set temperature to 425°F. Lightly coat a large baking tray with grease.

Toss the sweet potato chunks in 2 tbsp of melted butter. Sprinkle salt over, mix, and spread on tray. Bake 20 minutes, giving them a stir halfway. They should start to brown a little.

Toss apple pieces in a bowl with 1 tbsp butter, maple syrup, and cinnamon. Stir until everything's evenly coated.

After 20 minutes, add the apple mixture to the potatoes. Stir everything together, then bake for another 15-20 minutes, stirring partway. It's done when golden and slightly caramelized. Serve right away while warm.
