Pioneer Woman Apple (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
02 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
03 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
04 - 1 large apple (like Fuji or any tangy kind)
05 - 1 can of crescent roll dough (Pillsbury preferred)
06 - 3/4 cup (6 oz) lemon-lime soda, like 7-Up
07 - 2/3 cup granulated sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 350°F (175°C) to preheat it. Coat an 8×8-inch pan lightly with cooking spray or butter.
02 - Carefully remove the skin from the apple, then slice it into 8-10 wedges. Keep these slices aside for now.
03 - Break apart the crescent dough so that you have individual spots for wrapping.
04 - Dry off the apple slices with a paper towel to make wrapping easier. Roll a slice inside a dough triangle, sealing it as you go, starting from the wider edge. Lay these bundles in the pan.
05 - Put butter in a saucepan and melt it over medium. Mix in your cinnamon and sugar; stir constantly until it looks thick. Take the pan off the heat, then mix in the vanilla.
06 - Drizzle the cinnamon butter sauce over those wraps. Pour the soda on top right after, sharing it evenly.
07 - Place the dish in your oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. You're looking for the dumplings to turn a nice golden color.

# Notes:

01 - Drying the apples before wrapping makes the dough stick better and stay in place.
